Tara Ryan joined DGT as a legal costs consultant in March 1999 after working as a paralegal and then solicitor specialising in personal injury litigation. Tara holds a Bachelor of Arts from Sydney University and a Diploma of Law from the Legal Practitioners Admission Board. She was admitted as a solicitor in September 1996.

Tara routinely prepares advices (both high level and detailed), submissions, bills of costs/costs statements across all New South Wales, ACT, Queensland and Federal jurisdictions in respect of all types of matters with particular expertise in large and complicated matters (including commercial disputes as well as catastrophic personal injury matters). 

In addition, she is routinely retained to prepare expert reports for use in Court as well as binding assessments and is frequently invited to present to the profession both in a public forum and at the private invitation of law practices.

Tara is one of our senior in-house specialist cost lawyers and works from both our Brisbane and Sydney offices.
